A visitor in the tree outside my window

Just for fun, I googled "black squirrel." One of the top results was a link to a site claiming that there is a Choctaw legend that solar eclipses were caused by a black squirrel trying to consume the sun. 

No idea of whether this is actual lore or just something someone online invented.

But, by strange coincidence, tomorrow (March 20) the only total solar eclipse of the year will take place.
